Pittsford Outfitters was started in late 2015 to design, create, and sell products that encourage people to get outside and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer - whatever your particular idea of an outdoor adventure is. Whether it's taking your dog for a walk, relaxing on a beach, going for a run, hiking in the woods, scaling peaks to reach mountain tops, or even just grilling a delicious meal with family and friends, we want you to go outside and enjoy yourself. And then do it again tomorrow. And every day after that.
We’re based in Pittsford NY, a small upstate town just outside of Rochester with a classic New England quality to it, something we hope translates into everything we offer. It’s a beautiful and unique environment that instills a passion for getting outside, breathing in the fresh air, and enjoying the great outdoors year round.
No matter what you love to do, the area surrounding us has something for everyone: sandy beaches and sailing adventures on Lake Ontario, one of the best running environments in the US, stand-up paddle boarding or fishing on any of the Finger Lakes, hiking and camping in state parks, kayaking on the Erie Canal or biking the path next to it, skiing and sledding in the winter, even just playing with your dog at any one of the innumerable parks that dot our landscape - the list goes on and on… And our goal is to provide high quality and long lasting products to help you take advantage of whatever outdoor activity you find yourself in next!
We’re also a small family owned company that was founded by a guy and his wife with a dog and 4 darling (and some times just a little moody and dramatic) daughters, all of whom are active ALL the time. In many ways we embody what a family from Pittsford is – kids everywhere, a vehicle big enough to haul a million of them around town, sports gear scattered throughout the house, a practice & activity schedule that requires it’s own separate calendar, days spent sitting on the side of a field watching our girls play the sports they love, and as much time as possible hanging with friends on the porch at the end of it all; relaxing, taking a deep breath, having a drink and just trying to figure out this whole adulting thing as we go along.
Obviously who we are and the path that we’re taking through life plays a large part in the products that we design and create – we tend to make things that both us and our kids can and do use ourselves on a daily basis. From stainless steel tumblers for coffee in the morning, player bags for the players and blankets for the parents on those cold & rainy tournament days, tote bags to haul all that gear around, and even insulated wine cups to keep your drink cold at the end of it all, our products reflect who we are and how we spend our time outside. We make recreational outdoor gear and apparel for families like ours, families that are active in every way, every day.
